Review: Bubbagum Candy Teeth and Gum

Bubbagum

OK, let’s face it….other than bodily noises, there’s nothing funnier than poor dental hygiene. If you’re looking to simulate some funny boogedy teeth with a candy product, Bubbagum is the only real way to do it (and using candy corn to make vampire teeth doesn’t count). Bubbagum is a combination of a piece of bubble gum and a realistic set of candy teeth. You chew the gum and use it as denture seal to “affix” the fake teeth to your real teeth. It comes in 4 or 5 different teeth varieties and comes in Halloween, Christmas, Easter, and everyday packaging.

When I first got the BubbaGum, my four year old and I tried it and had a blast playing with it. I think four years old is a little young though - she couldn’t get the hang of gently holding the teeth in - she gripped it too hard with her real teeth and actually broke the teeth. They are a bit too large for her small mouth anyway and the teeth actually fit her mouth better after she had broken off one end of it.

The teeth are made of some kind of lollipop-like material with a fruity flavor and they look amazingly real. The color of the teeth is just right and they have just the right amount of shininess to make them look like they have real tooth enamel on them. I wasn’t thrilled with the fruity taste, but it wasn’t bad. I’m sure kids would love it. The teeth seem to last about 30 minutes or so of continuous use as that’s when the reddish color starts wearing off of the teeth.

I can heartily recommend BubbaGum to anyone who likes a good sight gag. Kids especially will love it, but even adults can have a good time with it. Bubbagum can be purchased at the Bubbagum website and at Spencer Gifts, Party City, Walgreen’s, and most major retailers and they retail for $1.99.

When I was a kid we would get wax lips and wax vampire teeth and kind of fashion our own versions of strange dental appliances. Buck teeth were usually the easiest to manage, but we did a few elaborate ones with gaps and misalignments.

I told you to brush your teeth more as we were growing up! HAHAHAHAHA! Hilarious.

RESPONSE: What’s funny too is that all the Google AdSense on this page are for teeth whitening products! :)
