This is one of my coolest finds yet! Here is a page full of pictures of OLD candy wrappers and boxes. So many candies I have never heard of before now! Here are just a few: Dre’s Space Tube Candy (I didn’t know Dr. Dre made candy), Pac-Man candy, Quicksand, and LOTS more. Check it out! Also, there is a Character Candy Box Archive that has candies from George of the Jungle, The Harlem Globetrotters, The Three Stooges, Beetle Bailey, and LOTS MORE. I could spend hours on this site.
Wow! There is even a Wonka Oompas wrapper! I used to love those! They were half chocolate and half peanut butter inside – they looked like M&Ms, only bigger. Man, those were good.
There is also a gum archive with lots of old gum wrappers. The site has other non-candy items too like fast food, cereal boxes, and lots more.
And another cool feature: a scanned-in 1949 candy salesman book. It’s an actual candy catalog from 1949. Snirkles? SevenUp? Skippers?
The guy that runs the site even has a brand new blog called “a sampler of things” where he chronicles some of the great packaging he finds. A couple days ago (December 3) he wrote about finding
a collection of old stock candy and gum boxes. All of the boxes were still full (although some of the candy was melting and had to be thrown away). It was over 20 different boxes ranging from the 1960′s to 1980′s.

He has pictures of them too and they look great – things like Hot Devils, Moon Money, Grape-A-Go-Go, and Big Nougat. I’ll definitely be following his blog from now on.
CAN YOU HELP ME FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO PEACH FLAVORED TWIZZLER. I REMEBER THEY WERE ABOUT @ 1993 AND THEY WERE PULL N PEEL. I HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE AND I CAN’T FUND ANYTHING ON THEM. THANK YOU.

March 23rd, 2006 at 6:49 pmTrying to find a picture of an old Denver Sandwich candy bar wrapper. Do you know where I might find such a thing?
October 11th, 2006 at 7:45 pmThanks, Daryl
I just received a Denver sandwich candy bar wrapper today. It says it was made by The Redel Candy Corp., Milwaukee, Wis.
May 8th, 2007 at 6:25 pmAhh, thank you so much for the Seven Up tip. I was trying so desperately to remember the name. On the rare occasion I found myself in possession of some cold hard cash as a kid, I would buy this to get the most taste for my coin. This would have been around the middle to late seventies. Does anyone know what happened to the company that produced this?
July 15th, 2007 at 1:16 pmNothing like finding out yourself. I wrote the company that bought the maker of the sevenup bar, alas the news is not good:
Thank you for inquiring about the 7-Up candy bar which Pearson’s produced many years ago.
Due to decreasing sales Pearson Candy Company ceased to manufacture the 7-Up candy bar in the late 1970′s. We no longer possess the equipment necessary to manufacture this item. Additionally, the 7-Up name was returned for exclusive use by the bottling company. It is for these reasons that Pearson’s has no plans to produce the 7-Up candy bar again.
*sigh*
July 17th, 2007 at 1:50 pmWhy couldn’t you change the name? I have been looking for this candy bar for years. It was my all time favorite. I bet it would be a huge hit if you brought it back. It would be worth the cost of the equipment you would need to purchase to make it again !!!

October 30th, 2007 at 5:32 pmWhat was the name of the vanilla wafer bar covered in chocolate during the 1940′s? I would love to see a picture of the wrapper.
