A Candy Addict reader (thanks, Jerry!), dropped me a line the other day telling me about a candy called CraniYUMS. They look and sound really cool – it’s a crunchy dinosaur “skull” lollipop coated with a soft gummi “skin”. When you eat it, it’s like you really are biting into a dinosaur head. What ten-year old boy wouldn’t LOVE to have one of these? Heck, I’d like to have one and I am way past ten! They are available in two flavors – Growlin’ Green Apple with Chewy Cherry Skin and Chompin’ Cherry with Chewy Lemon Skin. (Crani)Yum!

I’ve had one of those here in my drawer at work for a few months. I took some photos of it and though it sounds intriguing, I can’t quite bring myself to try it.
November 30th, 2005 at 5:58 amI am a distributor for Mountain Man Nut & Fruit Company in Denver and we sell these lollipops…it’s one of my hot items selling at $1.00 (its a heavy sucker 1.5ounces). The executives of the company came to our Christmas meeting and spoke about their product and got everybody really excited. I used my daughter as a gauge-she loved em’ so I decided to carry them as well as many other collegues. It’s fun to watch the reactions of little ones because they don’t know if they should eat it or play with it. It’s definitley not a candy for adults probabaly because we don’t use our imagination like we use too.
