Frisk’s Minty MP3 Player

Frisk MP3 player

Unlike other mints where you have to build the MP3 player yourself, Frisk mints has come out with an official MP3 player that looks just like the Frisk mints package. It sports 256MB of storage, an FM-tuner, an OLED display, and a USB port. More details can be found at Gizmodo.

Being in the U.S., I had never heard of Frisk mints, so I poked around a bit and found the Frisk Power Mints website. Evidently, Frisk is a mint that was started in Belgium and they are available in Europe, Japan, and possibly elsewhere. They are sugar-free and come in Peppermint, Lime Mint and Euca Menthol, Orange Mint, Salmiak Violet, Spearmint, White(?), and Sweetmint, and have a really cool-looking dispenser (seen on their homepage). According to what I read online, they are not quite as strong as Altoids. Their slogan was (is)? “one mint will freshen your breath, but two will kill you” and “the idea behind the marketing is that for meeting a girl, take one mint, but if you’re meeting God, take two.” Since the chances that I will get to try a Frisk mint is slim, if you have tried Frisk mints, please feel free to write a mini-review for us in the comments section.

Speaking of mints, I’ve been on a mint kick lately and have two new mint reviews waiting in the wings. Stay tuned.

UPDATE: Be sure and take a look at the first Frisk commercial on the Frisk website. It’s hilarious!

RESPONSE: I’m not sure what you are saying/asking. Are you looking for a place to buy Frisk mints in Sweden? Your best bet is to contact Frisk themselves at their website.

    Mike Maddaloni says:

Frisk mints are not sold in the US anymore, and the best place to get them is in central Europe, as they are not readily found in the UK.

Frisk has also changed the package, so making MP3 players is not as easy as before…

I found some little sample packages at a 1.00 store and bought several large packs of them. They are really strong and WONDERFUL: sore throat? – frisk really helps. Stuffy nose?: take 3 frisk peppermints and you’re clear (for a while at least). I really don’t know what I’ll do when I run out – Go to Central Europe to stock up, I guess!! Need a nice vacation anyway.

I love Frisk. I travel to Europe a lot and stock up everytime I go!
I found Frisk once at walmart for 50c a packet. I bougth all of them, I am not sure why they do not carry them anymore.Too sad!
I found a similar mint though: Altoid Mini Mints are very similar.

I used to buy frisk mints at Price Club/Costco in Canada,
but no one has been able to find them there for me in quite some time. I tried a few years ago, going on the Frist web site to see if I could get the manufacturer to sell me some directly, but couldn’t get through. They are the absolute best mint. Wish they were more widely available.
