I couldn’t find anything concrete on the site telling me where these numbers come from, but Energy Fiend has posted an online calculator that can tell you how much of a candy or mint (containing caffeine) it would take to kill you. It has things like Jolt Gum, Hershey’s Kisses, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Looks like it will take 12,285 Hershey’s Kisses to put me down. I don’t think I’ll be dying of a Hershey’s Kiss overdoes anytime soon. You can also see the caffeine content of a bunch of different mints and chocolate.
