Holy crud..... Never, and I mean NEVER chew three packs in a row. It takes you to a level of beyond jittery.

Still a great energy gum, IMHO.

U.S.Army studies in staying alert determined that caffiene is most readiely absorbed through the mouth not the stomach. The Army spent a lot of money on this developing thier own Stay Awake gum. Jolt tastes better according to the men in the field. The PX system has a hard time keeping their selves stocked in the small PX's in the field. It is in the chewing that rapid absorbtion takes place not in the swallowing (though that works too but not as fast). Go Army. see www.joltgum.com opps STAY ALERT gum not stay awake. Found surpporting article www.usmedicine.com under stay awake gum search. I originaly gained info while talking to Army Col. (a sciencetist at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.) I have read in Army times that our troops have been known to chew the instant coffee crystals that come in their MRE (meals redy to eat) to help them stay alert while patrolling the more dangerous parts of the world on our behalf. God Bless them all for they do it for US double meaning intended.
