The invention of the microwave is covered in a video called Accidental Inventions. The video includes how a melted chocolate bar played a role in the creation of microwave ovens. There are also brief videos on several other inventions – Post-It Notes, strike anywhere matches, stainless steel, Velcro, and more.

I really always wondered how the microwave was invented. It reaffirms my belief that candy inspires greatness.

I’m still not completely satisfied – despite the assurance – that it can be as safe as “they” tell us. That being said,I must go now and retrieving my popcorn from the box-o-radiation 2000.
