Black Forest Fun Bugs

So my daughter was eating a Bug Safari Kid Cuisine meal the other day (a TV dinner for kids) and it came with a small pack of Black Forest Fun Bugs. Not ever having heard of Fun Bugs before, let alone tried them, I asked her if I could have one. She complied and handed me a green one with some kind of orangish center. For some reason, I felt the need to push on the “bug” to see what the orangish stuff was and the thing burst out creamy orangish goo all over my fingers. It looked just like the insides of a bug. It thoroughly grossed me out for some reason and I gave the candy back to my daughter. Next time I’ll give it a try since I’ll now know what to expect, but MAN that freaked me out.

    That sounds pretty disgusting, but I can see why kids would like it!

    I LOVE FUN BUGS!!!
    I can’t find them in grocery stores here anymore, though.
    The gummy is just right and the goo is just sour enough.

    I’ve seen them at Brooks Pharmacy in my town (like CVS). I think Brooks used to be OscoDrug.

    These candies are AMAZING. My boyfriend and I eat them like crazy. I am truly addicted. We buy them 5 or six bags at a time from the checkout aisle of impulse candy at wal-mart.

    There’s something similar from Maynards, but that might be only in Canada, I don’t know. (I’m from BC, Canada)
    They’re really good, and I think they’re made from real fruit juice as well.
    Ah, nevermind, they’re in the shape of fruit, not buggies. ;_;
